A chessboard
Ring or Circle, game of strategy, probably of German origin. The circular chessboard has a dihedral symmetry D8 (if we don’t consider the colouring; it is D4 if we consider only the colouring white/black and D1 if we consider that a section is coloured in a different way); the game is asymmetric (the role of the two players is different). From the exhibition "Jogos do mundo", Covilhan, September 2004.
