A journey into the 120-cell
This interactive animation takes you into a journey in the 120-cell, that is one of the six regular polytopes in dimension 4. The 120-cell is made of 120 dodecahedra, that meet at groups of 3 around each edge. The observer, whose position is marked by a small yellow ball that can be dragged across the screen, is on a hypersphere of dimension 3 in the four-dimensional space and it is projected in a 120-cell (in the same way, we could project a dodecahedron on the surface of a sphere). The colour of the edges of the 120-cell depends on the distance from the observer... have a nice journey!
