An octahedron
A regular octahedron: there are 4 equilateral triangles around each vertex.
This polyhedron can be obtained by sectioning a hypercube with a 3-space perpendicular to the direction that joins two opposite vertices. See also another section along a parallel 3-space or the analogous phenomenon on the cube.
