A torus knot
A knot that can be drawn on the surface of a torus. These knots are identified by two integers: (2,5) in the case of this image. The number 2 means that the knot meets twice any meridian of the torus; the number 5 represents the intersection of the knot with any parallel of the torus.
The image has been realized with the program KnotPlot.
