A chessboard
The fox and the geese, a game of hunt and strategy, probably of European origin.
The chessboard has dihedral symmetry of type D4, broken into a D1 symmetry by the pieces in their initial position. The game itself is asymmetric, because the role of the two players is different (one piece against many).
