A trefoil knot
The trefoil knot is the simplest knot; here you can see the two versions (left and right) of the knot, that differ for a specular image, and can't be deformed one into the other.
The image appears in the double number 4-5 of the magazine XlaTangente and has been realized with the program KnotPlot.
