A break of symmetry in a frieze
At palazzo Feltrinelli (Gargnano, Brescia), this decoration looks like a frieze, is it really a frieze? It is a frieze if we consider only this part on the left and imagine that the decoration goes on like that. Instead, the central decoration breaks the translation symmetry, so that the resulting figure is not a frieze.
